The latest Dell Chromebook is designed for home workers who still need to connect to enterprise systems. The Latitude 7410 Chromebook Enterprise offers some of the best specs of any Chromebook and comes equipped with Dell's enterprise platform, allowing for remote management by IT departments. All of this has its price. The 7410 is expensive.
The 7410 features a 14-inch 4K screen, as well as LTE mobile broadband, Intel WiFi 6 and a 10th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU. According to Dell, the battery life is up to 21 hours and the notebook can be recharged in just 20 Minutes go from 0% to 35%. There are two USB-C ports, two full-size USB ports, an SD card slot and an HDMI output. It comes in traditional clamshell laptop design or as 2-in-1 convertible tablet available.
This is the latest in Dell's growing line of business Chromebooks, and the most significant device yet. Chromebooks, which were only used for consumer or educational purposes, are gaining traction in business environments. Companies like Dell are introducing IT management software called Chrome OS allows to work in the corporate environment. The 7410 appears to be a significant step forward for Chrome OS, as it combines the same computing power with IT management that the company offers in its Windows-based laptops.
Some models of the 7410 are available now starting at $1,299. A Core i3 version is planned for a later release and will be priced at $1,099.
