I wanted a small laptop for the bus and uni. I was on a pretty low budget so my expectations were really pretty low... Just something for typing essays/doing presentations/doing excel spreadsheets/on the web too surfing. I was pleasantly surprised when this one arrived. It looks nice and is very light. I might have expected the occasional lag or slightly slow page loading, but it's always been quite snappy for me. I use it in the last few weeks and I seem to be getting by with a decent number of tabs (I had about 10-20 open most of the time but didn't try more). Netflix runs smoothly and when I tested it with 5ish YouTube videos I was impressed! The only thing to note was that windows had to be updated - this took less than an hour if I remember correctly. Memory is also pretty low (for a st ern deducted), but that didn't bother me since I store most of my files online and haven't downloaded many additional apps on top of them. I'm not sure if this is extensible, but I would guess that most people who look at this laptop, don't use it as your main computer. I haven't tried anything like video editing; it could handle it, but it's something I don't do often and I probably wouldn't rely on this laptop if I had to. The screen is decent and the speakers surprised me by not being too tinny. I was concerned that the whole thing was too small and cramped to work on, but once I use it I don't notice much of a difference between this and many larger laptops, although maybe that's because I have small hands. I love the touchscreen for scrolling and any tasks that require you to constantly jump from side to side of the screen, which can be frustrating with a trackpad. Other than that, and as someone who hates trackpads, this is totally fine. I've found it to hold the battery well. Not sure about the 6 hours I think they said, but probably 4 or 5 with the battery saver turned on. Of course that depends on usage. All in all, this laptop is a good choice for most uses at a good price. It's obviously not the best out there, but at a tiny fraction of the price, it's definitely enough for kids, students, and anyone whose work doesn't really work requires powerful programs or lots of storage space. To be honest I wouldn't have been disappointed if I'd paid a few hundred more for it.
